Nicklaus Li specialises in property finance for developers and commercial property investors, with a focus on land development and residential and commercial construction loans. He also helps investors arrange funding for the acquisition and refinancing of hotels, warehouses, retail premises and other commercial properties.
Nicklaus has arranged more than $500 million in property finance transactions since establishing Cedrus Finance. He understands how funding needs change throughout a project, from land acquisition and construction through to sales or long-term refinancing. For commercial investments, he takes the time to understand the property’s income, lease arrangements and the investor’s plans.
Working closely with clients, banks, non-bank lenders and private funders, Nicklaus identifies suitable funding options and guides transactions through to settlement. His approach is built on practical advice, clear communication and long-term relationships.
Nicklaus graduated from the University of Auckland with a double major in Accounting and Finance. He holds a Level 5 Certificate in Financial Advice for Residential Lending and Investment and has passed CFA Level 1, combining a strong analytical background with practical property finance experience.
